Team Ukraine star Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev has revealed that he will not be able to compete at the upcoming WESG World Finals.
In a Twitter post, the Natus Vincere prodigy explained that he is currently dealing with "personal issues" and lamented that he will not attend the event, which will start on Monday.
The news comes as a huge blow to the Ukrainian mix, who won the WESG European & CIS Regional Finals with Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev leading the tournament charts with an impressive 1.39 average rating.
Contacted by HLTV.org, Ukraine leader Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko stated that he does not know yet what the team will do. The Ukrainians have been drawn in Group E, alongside Bravado, Envy and Viva Algeria.
Ukraine currently have the following line-up for the event:
Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk
Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev
Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko
Yegor "markeloff" Markelov
Gonna miss WESG, sorry everyone for not coming, have personal issues
