Black Ops 6 Zombies Double Tap Perk

Black Ops 6 Season 3 marks the long-awaited return of Double Tap in Zombies, but the Perk is a little different than fans remember.

Double Tap first appeared in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and was widely regarded as one of the worst Perks because it only made your fire rate faster and caused you to waste ammo.

Treyarch reworked the Perk for Black Ops 2, so it not only increased weapon fire rate but also fired two bullets instead of one when you pulled the trigger. As a result, sniper rifles finally became popular weapons in the game mode, and other unpopular weapons became more viable.

The introduction of Augments in BO6 created an opportunity for Treyarch to make the Perk even better in Season 3.

Double Tap Major & Minor Augments

Activision

Augments are a brand-new loadout mechanic in Black Ops 6 Zombies. They further allow players to customize their Perks, Ammo Mods, and Field Upgrades. Major Augments offer “substantial advantages,” while Minor creates “limited advantages.”

Players must complete the different research pathways to unlock all three Major and Minor Double Tap Augments.

Major Augments

• Double Jeopardy: Normal zombies at low health have a chance to die immediately when shot.
• Double Impact: Double hits on the same target in quick succession deal more damage.
• Double Standard: All non-critical shots do double damage. Only applies to normal bullet weapons.

Minor Augments

• Double Time: Increases fire rate bonus.
• Double or Nothing: Weapons have a chance to do double damage but also have a chance to do zero damage.
• Double Play: Killing two enemies in quick succession has a chance to return two rounds to your magazine. Only applies to normal bullet weapons.
